Professional skill development for Peace Officers desiring the TCLEOSE Instructor Certificate. Students will receive theory and practice in the learning process, writing learning objectives, developing teaching material, and lesson plan development. This is an intense, time consuming course. Be prepared for homework. Access to a computer and printer is highly recommended.

This course provides legal updates and curriculum revisions for SFST Practitioners. Recommended interval for update training is 2 years to enable law enforcement officers to maintain their Practitioner Certification in applying the Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) to suspected alcohol-impaired drivers. Anyone attending this course is required to be a currently certified SFST practitioner.

Unarmed response to an edged weapon assault is a reality. The dynamics of almost all edged weapon assaults means it is not possible to disengage even with weapons. In such circumstances we are forced to use what nature has given us in terms of physiological responses. This system of defense against edged weapons makes use of those natural responses and teaches how to survive the attack and how to establish control.
