Training

This is a 32-hour combined course of instruction which will provide comprehensive information and descriptions of the responsibilities of the organizational elements within each section of the ICS and describe the general duties of each organizational element including staffing considerations and reporting relationships. In addition, the course will expand on and explain each command and general staff position in terms of principle responsibilities and importance to the organization. It will include guidelines for activation of the command and general staff positions and the role of the deputies and assistants are discussed. Relationships and duties are covered for each command staff member and for agency representatives. The course is divided into four modules that include the following topical areas: 1) Introduction/Course Overview, 2) Incident Command System Review, 3) Incident Action Planning, 4) Incident Command System Organization, 5) Final Table Top Exercise, 6) Course Review, and 7) Course Final Examination. The course contains five (5) table-top practice exercises and a final comprehensive table-top. The course is designed for and will be presented in an instructor-led format. Those persons attending this course must have successfully completed IS-700, ICS-100, and ICS-200 courses as a prerequisite
