Regional Planning offers a regional perspective to community and countywide planning in the areas of urban and rural land use, transportation, natural resources, economic development, housing, telecommunications, and emergency service elements. CAPCOG staff helps communities acquire and maintain data necessary for effective local and regional planning; and facilitating regional cooperation to increase planning, plan implementation, and development management for unincorporated areas of the region. CAPCOG provides educational materials, training, and local assistance to member counties in the review and update of subdivision regulations, zoning ordinances, and related policies, procedures, criteria, and standards. |
CAPCOG staff also serves on the Capital Area Regional Review Committee.
