CAPCOG provides commonly requested datasets online through our Information Clearinghouse.   The data is updated throughout the year and is ordered with the most recently updated dataset listed first.  Under each item is the date of when the item was last updated.  The dropdown menu displays a listing of all items in alphabetical order.  

New Census American Community Survey 2011

The American Community Survey, a service of the U.S. Census Bureau, collects social, economic, housing and demographic data of people and households nationwide. The monthly research is released in one-, three- and five-year increments, with specific data products determined by the respective area's population size. The Microsoft Excel files linked below contain data profiles with three categories - social, economic, housing and demographic - for available geographies in the CAPCOG region. For information on using the ACS data, call CAPCOG at 512-916-6183 or visit the Census Bureau's guidance page online. > Go

New Census 2010 Demographic Detail and American Community Survey Overview

The 2010 Census Demographic Profiles provide information on population, households, age, race, ethnicity and housing for every U.S. county. The 2010 American Community Survey provides additional information on educational attainment, commuting patterns, income, employment, housing afforability and health insurance coverage for all jurisdictions with populations greater than 65,000. The following links contain 2010 Census Demographic Profiles for all counties in the CAPCOG region. American Community Survey data is also included for all counties with a population of at least 65,000.

Data analyzed in the following Data Points article, Capital Area Congestion, August 2008. This dataset is available in MS Excel 2007 and may not be accessible in previous versions of Excel unless you have installed the Compatibility Pack.
