Resource Recovery Roundtable
The Capital Area Resource Recovery Roundtable (CARRR) is a quarterly regional forum on recycling, waste reduction and resource conservation. Tentative future dates and topics are:

Scrap Tires
The topic for the November 2008 roundtable was scrap tire management, including the history of scrap tire management in Texas, scrap tire markets and end uses, and tire recycling. Participants included representatives of city and county governments in the Capital Area, private industry solid waste and tire recycling and hauling service providers, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Liberty Tire Recycling, the Texas Department of Transportation, and others.

Computer Recycling
The topic for the August 2008 roundtable was computer and electronics recycling, with particular emphasis on the new Texas Computer Recycling Program which began September 1, 2008. Participants included representatives of city and county governments in the Capital Area, private industry solid waste and electronics recycling service providers, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, Dell Computers, Goodwill Industries of Central Texas, and others.
