9-1-1 Operations Coordinator IA
CAPCOG’s Emergency Communications Division manages the 9-1-1 system for the region as an emergency communications district. The division provides operational planning and technical assistance to our local government agencies to ensure that 9-1-1 calls reach the right public safety answering point with correct location and telephone information.  Currently the Emergency Communications Division is seeking candidates for a 9-1-1 Operations Coordinator IA.  The position serves as a subject matter expert on disaster recovery procedures for 9-1-1 networks; 9-1-1 databases; and contractual agreements to validate 9-1-1 call flow and delivery; evaluates and documents wireline, wireless, private switch and / or ancillary service providers network activities; and participates in the technical support of the 9-1-1 systems and services.  Work will be performed throughout the 10-county region in support of the 31 public safety answering points: analyzing wireline and wireless telecom company emergency services, resolving problems, validating 9-1-1 database and call routing.

Education:  Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in business management, computer or management information systems or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 
Required: Minimum three years’ experience in 9-1-1 systems design, database administration, wireless, or VoIP services. 
Preferred: Basic skill in use of ArcGIS, understanding of how GIS, MSAG and addressing databases work together, and an Emergency Number Professional (ENP) certification.
Successful completion of a CJIS background investigation required.
Salary range: $50,000 - $55,000 depending on qualifications.

Crisis Information Systems Coordinator
CAPCOG’s Homeland Security Division focuses on regional planning, activities and initiatives that support the ability of local governments to collaborate and share critical information and resources during emergencies and disasters. The division is seeking candidates for a Crisis Information Systems Coordinator. This position performs moderately complex system administration, web development, and technical support work.   Work involves coordinating implementation, operation, and training constituents on the regional Emergency Notification System (ENS) and WebEOC® crisis information management system (CIMS). Provides staff support and coordination to CAPCOG Homeland Security Task Force committee and subcommittees; assists in the planning, developing, and implementing of division programs; and provides consultative services and technical assistance to the emergency management coordinators, public safety responders, public health and medical professionals, elected officials, and other stakeholders within the 10-county area. Must have completed, or be able to complete within 90 days of hire, courses ICS100, ICS200, IS700 & IS800.
Must be able to pass the Criminal Justice Information Security background check.
Education: Associate’s degree with coursework in web design, information systems or related area required. 
Experience: Minimum of one year’s experience in the field of service, customer service or related areas. Hands on experience with web programming, web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and API's is preferred. Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
Salary range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year depending on qualifications.
