Last Updated: August 25, 2010
CAPCOG serves as a U.S. Census Bureau Census Information Center (CIC) and as a Texas State Data Center local affiliate. The goal of the CIC program is to increase accessibility to U.S. Census Bureau information products, especially for planning purposes in traditionally underserved communities. For more information on the CIC program, please visit http://www.census.gov/clo/www/cic/.  To request tabular data not available online, contact Chris Ramser.

Census American Community Survey (2008)

The American Community Survey collects social, economic, housing and demographic data of people and households across the nation.  The data is collected every month and released in one year and three year increments.  The three year data is an average of the samples received over a three year period and cover more areas.  The files posted here are MS excel files containing data profiles with four worksheets: Social, Economic, Housing and Demographic.  For information about using the ACS data, please consult the Census Bureau's guidance page or contact our office.

2008 Three Year Estimates (2006-2008)
Most recent sample data collected over a three year period from 2006 to 2008. Only available for areas with 20,000 residents or above.2008 Three Year Estimates (2006-2008)

Note: The Census Bureau does not recommend comparing three year estimates which have overlapping sample data. For example, it is not recommended that you compare the 2006-2008 three year estimates directly with the 2005-2007 because the estimates share two years of sample data.
