ICS 300 - HS - ICS 300

The course will be conducted over the three days. ICS-300 is for individuals who may assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents or Type 3 incidents (Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents). Training at the ICS-300 level includes staffing and organization; reporting, working relationships and information flow; transfer of command; unified command functions in a multi-jurisdictional or multi-agency incident; ICS forms; resource management; and interagency mission planning and procurement. Prerequisites for this course include ICS-100, ICS-200, IS 700, and IS 800.

The course goal is to provide students with the knowledge to apply surveillance detection fundamentals and develop a surveillance detection plan. We accomplish this by teaching the surveillance detection planning process which consists of five elements: 1) Conducting a Facility Vulnerability Analysis, 2) Identifying potential hostile surveillance positions, 3) Identifying surveillance detection positions, 4) Identifying and reporting suspicious behavior, 5) Determining who responds. The ultimate goal is for the students to take the knowledge and skills gained in this course back to their specific facilities and apply it to their situation and unique circumstances to develop a Surveillance Detection Plan for their facility.
