CAPCOG’s Area on Aging of the Capital Area Health and Wellness Program is hosting a five-day training for volunteer leaders who want to change lives by teaching the Chronic Disease Self-Management and Chronic Pain Self-Management programs.

These two self-management programs, developed at Stanford University, are evidence-based and use transformative techniques to dramatically improve health outcomes for participants age 60 and older. After completing the training, volunteers will be certified to run two- and half-hour workshops that take place once a week for six weeks.

> Contact Kate Gibbons, AAACAP, Health and Wellness Coordinator to register.
