The CAPCOG Criminal Justice Advisory Committee (CJAC) will meet for three days to discuss, score and rank regional grant applications submitted to the Office of Governor for four funding opportunities to make a prioritization recommendation to the CAPCOG Executive Committee. The opportunities include Criminal Justice Program, General Victim Assistance Direct Service Program, Juvenile Justice and Truancy Prevention Grant Program, Violence Against Women Justice and Training Program.
During this time, the committee will hear presentations from grant applicants and discuss each project. Each applicant is scheduled to present at a particular time. Applicants for the following funding opportunities will present on the coinciding days:
- General Victim Assistance and Violence Against Women — 9 a.m. Monday
- Violence Against Women, Criminal Justice Program, and Truancy Prevention — 9 a.m. Tuesday
- Truancy Prevention and Juvenile Justice — 9 a.m. Wednesday
The committee will consider its funding recommendations on Wednesday. The applications’ scoring and ranking that assists in determining the funding recommendations is based on guidance provided in the CAPCOG Plan Year 2026 CJAC Scoring Criteria, Policy Statement and Regional Strategic Criminal Justice Plan.
