CAPCOG is conducting three State Homeland Security Program grant workshops to prepare applicants for the FY 2024 funding cycle. Eligible applicants are required to attend one of these three workshops, that will address the SHSP application process and review the federal, state, and regional requirements and priorities for the grant funding.
The workshops also will cover applicant and project eligibility; rules, regulations, and certifications; prohibited activities and equipment; investment categories; the grant review and prioritization process; and the program’s timeline and milestones. The priority funding areas adopted by CAPCOG include: enhancing cybersecurity, combating domestic violent extremism, enhancing the protection of soft targets and crowded places, enhancing information and intelligence sharing, enhancing community preparedness and resilience, and election security. During previous years, between $1.3 and $1.8 million in SHSP funding was allocated to the CAPCOG region.
CAPCOG will send a link to attend the webinar to those who registered prior to the event.
