CAPCOG also has announced two mandatory grant workshops which will review the announcements of each funding opportunity, applicant and project eligibility, funding opportunity requirements, the application process timeline with key events, the prioritization process, and the regional and state funding priorities. A mandatory civil rights presentation also will be provided.
The first workshop will be held in-person at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 10 at the CAPCOG offices, 6800 Burleson Road, Building 310, Suite 165 in Austin. The second workshop will be held online at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 12 via Microsoft Teams. It is required that applicants seeking these funding opportunities attend one of the two workshops. CAPCOG asks for all potential applicants to register to attend one of the two workshops, so CAPCOG can provide updates about the opportunities and the grant prioritization process as needed.
The last homeland security mandatory grant workshop is being held virtually from 9-10:30 a.m., December 15.
Register for the homeland security grant workshop.
The Office of the Governor also announced several other public safety funding opportunities. CAPCOG recommends reviewing all the RFAs carefully and applying for any that can benefit your community.
