The CAPCOG General Assembly at its September meeting will hear a regional transportation update from Tucker Ferguson, Texas Department of Transportation’s Austin district engineer, and update about the region’s population growth and 2020 census results from Andrew Hoekzema, CAPCOG’s regional planning and services director. The meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, at the Austin Marriott South, 4415 South IH-35 in Austin.
During the meeting, General Assembly representatives will consider the FY 2021-22 budget and CAPCOG bylaws amendments as well as select the CAPCOG Nominating Committee. General Assembly Representative can RSVP for the meeting at training.capcog.org/class/view/general-assembly-meeting2.
CAPCOG also is soliciting self-nominations from General Assembly Representatives interested in serving on the 2022 CAPCOG Executive Committee and nominations for the 2021 Jack Griesenbeck Leadership in Regionalism Award. The award, named after a Bastrop County Judge and CAPCOG’s first chair, recognizes someone who consistently advocates a regional and multi-jurisdictional approach through their work with local governments, nonprofits, and other organizations. Executive Committee self-nominations are due September 24, and award nominations are due October 10.
