Training & Workshops
From peace officers to fleet managers to elected officials and older adults, CAPCOG offers a variety of training courses or workshops for local governments, their staff, and their residents. These courses are offered to enhance public servants’ and officials’ knowledge of best practices related to government issues.
CAPCOG’s Regional Law Enforcement Academy certifies all courses for peace officers and emergency telecommunicators so training hours can qualify for Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) credits and help them maintain or advance their law enforcement certifications.

Cancellations & No-Shows
CAPCOG reserves the right to cancel training courses and workshops that do not meet the minimum number of registrants at least seven business days before their start date. In those circumstances, CAPCOG will provide a full refund.
Registrants who wish to cancel their registration must cancel online or notify CAPCOG via email or fax at least 30 calendar days before the course or workshop start date to receive a refund. There is a $50 administrative refund processing fee for courses or workshops over four hours in length. Courses four hours or shorter will not be refunded.
No-shows and cancelations made less than 30 calendar days before a course's start date will be charged in full. Partial attendance is not permitted.
CAPCOG has recently made improvements to the hosting of its training course registration system. These improvements have caused a few glitches, and CAPCOG is working to resolve them as fast as possible. Please be mindful when checking out of a course, that it is the course you are registering for. Feel free to report site issues by email to Mason W. Canales.
As part of the hosting transfer, some class sizes may appear smaller and with less or no current registrations. These classes do already have registrations and attendees should assume the class has made it minimum number of registrants, unless otherwise told by CAPCOG.
Thank you for your patience.
