Veteran Peer Support Network Training

Join CAPCOG and its Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Capital Area for a training about supporting active military personnel, veterans and their family members through mentorship and guidance. The Military Veteran Peer Network will lead an entry level course to raise awareness of the issues facing the military and veteran communities.

Participants will become state sponsored peer mentors with the Military Veteran Peer Network after completing the eight-hour training that is designed to provide volunteers with frontline intervention tools addressing immediate basic needs of veterans.

The Military Veteran Peer Network is a community of Texas veterans, active duty personnel, their families and the organizations that serve them. Besides offering mentorship, the group helps provide access to services and resources available to veterans.
