BPOC No. 105 Information
The anticipated start date for the upcoming BPOC No. 105 is mid April of 2026. It will be held at the CAPCOG Regional Law Enforcement Academy. The class will graduate in November. Graduates must be 21 before completing the course.
BPOC No. 105 is fulltime, day academy, meaning the course runs from 5:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursdays, with hours that can vary slightly depending on the class syllabus, instructor schedules, and holidays. Some class instructions will be held off site. Other classes may require Friday attendance.
BPOCs are designed to meet the initial training requirements mandated by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) for becoming a certified Texas peace officer and to prepare cadets to take the state’s Peace Officer Licensing Exam. BPOC topics are taught by TCOLE certified peace officers to meet standardized objectives and to prepare students for the realities of working as a peace officer. Many subjects are taught in an academic classroom setting and others such as defensive tactics, firearms and driving are taught as hands-on practical lessons. Cadets also will participate in physical fitness training for overall health.
