Overview:

This comprehensive two-day training course is designed specifically for 911 telecommunications, responder, administrators and leadership addressing the pressing need for cultural transformation within Emergency Communication Centers (ECCs). At its core, the course aims to cultivate a supportive and resilient workplace culture by emphasizing accountability, belonging, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as essential pillars of public safety.
In an industry where high-stress, high-stakes environments are common, the workplace culture often plays a critical role in staff morale, performance, and ultimately, public safety outcomes. This course offers attendees a dynamic learning experience that combines impactful lectures with hands-on workshops, immersive activities, and group discussions. Through introspection and practical application, learners will immediately gain tools and strategies to shift culture dynamics within their centers.

Outcome:
This course is designed to empower participants to improve onboarding, enhance retention, and develop essential interpersonal skills to foster and sustain a culture of excellence within their ECC.

Why This Course is Relevant:
The Public Safety industry is facing unprecedented challenges-recruitment and retention, burnout, generational differences, and an evolving workforce that demands more inclusive and supportive environments. For EC Cs to succeed, they must become places where employees feel valued, accountable, and empowered to contribute to their best potential. This training supports ECC staffing creating a culture that aligns with the changing landscape of public safety and responds to the needs of the workforce.

How This Course Will Advance Public Safety:
When ECCs prioritize a healthy workplace culture, team members are more engaged, resilient, and committed to the critical work they perform. A strong culture of accountability and belonging improves morale, reduces turnover, and enhances job satisfaction-all factors chat directly contribute to a center’s effectiveness in serving the community. By fostering DEI principles, ECCs can create inclusive spaces where every voice matters, cultivating an atmosphere of respect, trust, and collaboration.
