This course teaches participants how to effectively coordinate between the Incident Command System (ICS) and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) using NIMS principles.
Who Should Take This Course: Emergency management personnel from all levels of government, private industry, and volunteer organizations involved in ICS or EOC operations. No prior experience is required.
Pre-Requisites: Please refer to the TDEM training website.
Course Objectives: Participants will learn to:
Explain key NIMS and ICS/EOC coordination concepts.
Identify and analyze ICS/EOC coordination challenges.
Compare the roles of Incident Command and the EOC.
Apply coordination concepts to scenarios.
Develop an ICS/EOC action plan for their community.
Special Instructions
Register for this course through the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s (TDEM) training portal. This course also has a number of prerequisites which can be reviewed on TDEM’s website.
CAPCOG reserves the right to cancel training courses and workshops that do not meet the minimum number of registrants at least seven business days before their start date. In those circumstances, CAPCOG will provide a full refund.
Registrants who wish to cancel their registration must cancel online or notify CAPCOG via email or fax at least 30 calendar days before the course or workshop start date to receive a refund. There is a $50 administrative refund processing fee for courses or workshops over four hours in length. Courses four hours or shorter will not be refunded.
No-shows and cancellations made less than 30 calendar days before a course's start date will be charged in full. Partial attendance is not permitted.
