Description:

Class will be in the auditorium. Front gates will be open during class time. Please follow the training parking signs as soon as you drive in and park towards the track. The side doors lead straight to the auditorium.

This introductory course lays a strong foundation in criminal investigations for patrol officers and new investigators. Participants will develop essential skills, including securing and preserving evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and testifying in court. The course also covers investigative techniques for cases involving injury, homicide, and sexual battery, featuring graphic real-case examples to enhance learning. By the end, officers will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to conduct thorough and effective investigations.

Special Instructions

The CAPCOG Regional Law Enforcement Academy is not conducting this course. CAPCOG however is promoting the course to ensure law enforcement personnel throughout the region have access to professional development opportunities offered in the region.
