The CAPCOG Homeland Security Division is hosting a two-day training on supporting those involved in transportation crashes. The National Transportation Safety Board’s(NTSB) Transportation Disaster Assistance Division (TDA) is responsible for the agency’s family assistance program and operations.

This training will address the needs of survivors, families and friends of those involved in transportation crashes. The NTSB investigates by coordinating federal government resources to support:

  • local, state, tribal and federal government agencies;
  • nongovernmental and private organizations; and
  • transportation operators.

The NTSB TDA also serves as the primary agency contact for survivors, families and friends of those involved to address questions, provide investigative updates, and offer information about available assistance through appropriate organizations.

Special Instructions

To promote a professional environment, CAPCOG requires proper business attire. T-shirts, capri pants and flip-flops are prohibited.

There is no cost to attend this training, but seating is limited. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis.
