The CAPCOG Criminal Justice Advisory Committee (CJAC) will meet for two days to discuss, score and rank regional grant applications submitted to the Office of Governor for four funding opportunities to make a prioritization recommendation to the CAPCOG Executive Committee. The opportunities include Criminal Justice Program, General Victim Assistance Direct Service Program, Juvenile Justice and Truancy Prevention Grant Program, Violence Against Women Justice and Training Program.
During this time, the committee will hear presentations from grant applicants and discuss each project. Each applicant will be scheduled to present at a particular time, which will be scheduled through the Criminal Justice Program. The presentation times and days for the particular grant opportunities will be posted here. The funding opportunities programs include:
- General Victim Assistance
- Violence Against Women
- Criminal Justice Program
- Truancy Prevention and Juvenile Justice
The committee will consider its funding recommendations on the second day. The applications’ scoring and ranking that assists in determining the funding recommendations is based on guidance provided in the CAPCOG Plan Year 2027 CJAC Scoring Criteria, Policy Statement and Regional Strategic Criminal Justice Plan.
