The CAPCOG Regional Planning and Services Division will hold an in-person, Plan Year 2026 Criminal Justice Grant Workshop for four Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, funding opportunities — the Criminal Justice Program; the General Victim Assistance Direct Service Program; the Juvenile Justice and Truancy Prevention Grant Program; and Violence Against Women Justice and Training Program. The workshop is not mandatory but attending will impact applicants’ scores and ranks during the CAPCOG review process.
The workshop will cover several key elements of applying to the Office of the Governor’s funding opportunities as well as CAPCOG’s review and ranking process for applications submitted in the 10-county region. Topics include but are not limited to:
- PY2026 timeline and key events
- Eligibility requirements
- Funding limitations
- Regional funding priorities
- The prioritization process
Special Instructions
This workshop is one of two workshops being held on the Plan Year 2026 Criminal Justice Grant program. It will be held in person. The other is being held virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Information from the workshops will be placed online for attendees to review during the application period. However, attending one of the two the grant workshops earns 5 points in CAPCOG’s review and scoring process.
