Attend the Central Texas Clean Air Coalition committee meeting. The coalition is a voluntary, unincorporated association managed by CAPCOG. Its members consist of elected officials from the Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos Metropolitan Statistical Area — Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties. The coalition works to develop clean air plans that can be implemented voluntarily by local jurisdictions and other regional partner to maintain compliance with the national ambient air quality standards. It also provides direction to CAPCOG for monitoring and collecting air quality data in the region using funding from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
The coalition’s member meet at least quarterly on the second Wednesday of the month after CAPCOG’s Executive Committee and Capital Area Emergency Communications District’s meetings.
