The CAPCOG Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) will meet to consider the 2026-27 solid waste grant program applications.
Its members will hear from applicants before determining scoring and ranking of each proposed project. The SWAC then make funding amount recommendations for the CAPCOG Executive Committee to consider, which will submitted to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for final approval.
The SWAC also may discuss issues related solid waste management throughout the region to include solid waste collection and disposal, household hazardous waste collection and disposal, material diversion, recycling and more. The SWAC promotes, fosters, coordinates, and guide implementation of the CAPCOG Regional Solid Waste Management Plan and the planning efforts as they relate to solid waste management.
