General management includes the office of the Executive Director which has oversight over all program and administrative functions of CAPCOG.
General management includes fiscal management (grants administration, performance measures, financial reporting and budgeting), human resources (insurance, the retirement system), records management, and public information. CAPCOG’s general management staff updates the CAPCOG website, including the CAPCOG online regional directory, and produces multiple publications including the CAPCOG annual report and performance measures, the CAPCOG monthly newsletter, program brochures, advertisements, and media releases. In addition, general management staff serves as the primary liaison for services to member organizations and regional stakeholders.

CAPCOG’s Speakers Bureau
The staff is committed to serving the ten-county region through CAPCOG’s programs in public safety, services for aging and disabled, community and economic development, and environmental planning for air quality and solid waste, and are available to make presentations in any of these areas of work or can provide a general overview of all agency programs. Information Technology Services
Information technology services staff maintains CAPCOG’s computer, networking, and telephone equipment and provide guidance in the selection of new equipment and the development of regional technological infrastructure. This includes administration/maintenance of the CAPCOG local area network, homeland security WebEOC and emergency notification systems, all operating systems, servers, network printers/plotters, network hardware, and email. Information technology services staff also provide internal internet and user application support for CAPCOG.
Finance
Finance staff is responsible for all internal and external financial services for CAPCOG programs in the following areas: accounting, budgeting, financial management and reporting, purchasing and payroll. Finance staff also provides certain support services as needed to implement programs in accordance with grant and contract agreements.
The professionals at CAPCOG and its member governments have made the Central Texas region known as a leader in Next Generation 9-1-1, economic development innovation, air quality monitoring, environmental law enforcement, and much more. They have helped to foster relationships between large and small communities throughout its ten-county region, which have led to partnerships and sharing resources for emergency communications, homeland security, law enforcement training, meeting the needs of older Americans, transportation and economic development.

Aging and Disability Resource Center Coordinator
The Aging and Disability Resource Center Coordinator supports the wellbeing of older adults, persons with disabilities, and their caregivers throughout the 10-county CAPCOG area. This position requires the ability to develop inter-agency partnerships, design and implement trainings and special events, and represent the agency at public forums and meetings. Work also involves some provision of information and referral assistance, including client assessments via the phone support line. GIS Database Specialist II
The GIS Database Specialist II will play a key role in maintaining and updating CAPCOG’s 9-1-1 GIS database and meeting other GIS and mapping needs within the agency. Work in support of 9-1-1 GIS includes submission of monthly updates of address points, roads, emergency service boundaries, and city limit boundaries into Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) map displays. CAPABLE Program Contactors – Open until funding expires
CAPCOG, working as the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area, is accepting qualification-based applications for its Community Aging in Place-Advancing Better Living for Elders (CAPABLE ) Program contracting positions. CAPABLE is a evidence-based home intervention for older adults created by Johns Hopkins University, that partners occupational therapists, registered nurses, and home repair professionals with older adults to improve their quality of life at home and help them age in place. Program Coordinator

Occupational Therapists
Occupational Therapists (OTs) will be part of a team of OTs and registered nurses (RNs) providing in-home visits to identified older adults in Bastrop and Caldwell counties. Clients in the program receive six visits from an OT and four from an RN, as well as services from a home repair professional. CAPABLE is unique in that it is client-driven; participants set their own goals with the assistance of OTs and RNs. Registered Nurse
Registered Nurses (RNS) will be part of a team of occupational therapists (OTs) and RNs providing in-home visits to identified older adults in Bastrop and Caldwell counties. Clients in the program receive six visits from an OT and four from an RN, as well as services from a handy worker. CAPABLE is unique in that it is client-driven; participants set their own goals with the assistance of OTs and RNs. Home Repair Professional
Home Repair Professionals will be part of a team of occupational therapists (OTs) and registered nurses (RNs) providing in-home visits to older adults in Bastrop County. Clients in the program receive home repairs based on goals identified by participants; repairs are generally limited in scope and are intended to improve day-to-day functioning of participants. An ideal candidate has experience with a wide variety of home repair jobs, such as installing railings and replacing light fixtures, as well as experience working with older adults.
