Solid Waste Grant Workshop – ONLINE

This recommended workshop will assist local governments, public schools and school districts, and general and special law districts apply to receive funding through the CAPCOG Solid Waste Grant Program for the 2022 and 2023 fiscal years.

The grant program is estimated to provide $244,000 in pass-through funding to communities in the CAPCOG 10-county region. It uses state funding generated from selected landfill tipping fees, which allows Texas councils of governments such as CAPCOG to support eligible projects within its jurisdiction that help implement the regional solid waste management plan. This workshop will cover the topics including:

• Grant eligibility
• Grant selection process
• Completing the application
• Funding categories
• Funding standards and project reporting
